OUR REVIEWS

Aragorn

Civil War follows four journalists on their thrilling, intense and disturbing ride to D.C. showcasing the nightmares of war and the nostalgia of a forgotten U.S. paradise. The journalist perspective, while making for a unique and emotional spin, sacrifices some much needed depth and motives of the characters actually playing a part in the war. Regardless, it was a masterclass in cinematography pulling you directly into the madness leading up to a crazy final twenty minutes. It was a scary portrayal of our country all the more terrifying considering its plausibility. Eighty four overall.

Civil war is a take on the idea of what a civil war would look like if it took place today. Told through the unique and interesting eyes of four journalists as you follow them on their journey to D.C and the horrors they experience along the way. Each journalist offered a different viewpoint of the war and their outlook on it but I feel like there was more I wanted to learn about them and dive into their depth more. There are also some slow parts throughout that just don’t fully hit on expanding the characters depths or story. However it is a technical masterpiece, an original story, and a really fun time. These are the movies we go to the theater to support.
